About Us
Avraham’s JLeap (Jewish Learning Empowerment & Educational Program) is an after-school activity center focused on providing skill-building opportunities that empower children’s bodies and minds. Through activities like martial arts, robotics, sewing, and more, we strive to help each child discover their unique strengths and talents. At JLEAP, we believe that every child has a place where they shine, and our mission is to help them find their light and harness it.
This initiative is driven by the legacy of Avraham Hankin, h”yd. Avraham, loved by so many, a father of four, dedicated his life to a career that exemplified courage and selflessness. He served in the Yamam, an elite unit where he put his life on the line every single day and night to protect Am Yisrael. Avraham wasn’t just a commander—he was a gentle soul who always saw the good in others. He genuinely cared and sought to empower everyone around him. People naturally gravitated to him for his wisdom, which resonated deeply because it stemmed from Avraham’s pure and genuine intentions. He celebrated the victories of others as if they were his own and was truly present in every interaction, despite the immense responsibilities he carried.
On October 7, 2023, on Simchas Torah, Avraham did not hesitate to put himself in harm’s way to save as many Jews as he could. That day, Hashem called Avraham back, leaving us with a profound void and a mountain of inspiration to continue building his legacy.
JLEAP’s mission is to give back what Avraham brought to the world: to empower children, shape the future leaders of tomorrow, and spread the magic and light that Avraham embodied.

She quickly learned that the skills she developed to manage competition prep, nerves, and performance were relative to skills needed for success in her personal and professional life.
